The clever bit

Look at the aerial view or floor plan. Le Vieux Moulin is “L” shaped. One leg is the house/gite. The other is a self-contained wing where you, as owners, can enjoy a lifestyle of rare quality financed by the gite’s established success.

With a huge living kitchen, utility room, snug with log-burner, lavish lounge, mezzanine level study, en-suite bedroom, master bedroom with dressing room… your new home is lavishly liveable. As you’ll realise as you loll in the stand-alone bath contemplating your orchard of apple, pear, plumb and fig trees.

The main house, which is used as a profitable Gite / retreat centre, comprises a large, modern kitchen with brushed concrete worktops. Polished concrete floors flow throughout the ground floor through to a huge dining area and salon. Patio doors allow access to the pool area and terraces giving the ground floor a light and airy feel.

To the first floor there are 6 large ensuite bedrooms which, whilst modern, retain many of the original features of this historic mill.

There is also a large yoga studio, a covered summer kitchen overlooking the stream (where you will sometimes see trout) and a further self-contained living area, comprising a lounge with log-burning stove, a kitchenette and separate bedroom and en-suite bathroom.

Exterior
